Here
at Sherwood we have a team of dedicated individuals working to
ensure that every event is a success and every customer is
satisfied.
Larry Warzecha - Owner & Installation Specialist

Larry has been a figure in the local music/audio community
for over three decades. His first involvement was as a bass
player and teacher, which he finally gave up in 1980 to concentrate
on the development of Sherwood Systems. He has many outside
interests such as boating and piloting, and he makes a connection
between his hobbies and this company: "It's a lot like
flying…The blend of artistry and technical skills required
to accomplish successful live production appeals to me in
a similar way to piloting an airplane".
Larry is our installation equipment sales specialist and handles
all aspects of arranging the delivery and installation of
your permanent system as well as functioning as general manager.
Tim Mitchell - Event Production
Manager

Tim joined Sherwood in 1990 from a residential construction
background. He has worked as a sound technician on the road,
and at one time maintained a small home studio. Tim's knowledge
of construction techniques coupled with his desire for excellence
have resulted in many 'firsts' for the company - he was responsible
for the design and construction of our K-series of custom
JBL loaded P.A cabinets, and for our custom staging modules.
Golf is Tim's hobby. Enough said.
Tim oversees the operation of our event production department
and also spends a lot of time in contact with our corporate
clientele.
Eric Warren - General Manager

After completing an electronics diploma through Conestoga College, Eric began collecting and restoring vintage synthesizers and recording gear. He slowly piecing together a studio for personal use before deciding to further his education at Recording Arts Canada in Quebec.
Eric graduated top of his class, returned to the KW region, and was hired as in instructor for Recording Arts Canada in Stoney Creek. He began using his home studio for post-production work for animation and the web and soon accepted a permanent position at Blab Media in Toronto as Audio Department Manager. Blab Media folded after a couple of years but Eric had made enough contacts to continue working full-time from his home studio, recording voice-overs and post-production for TV and the Web, as well as recording bands and doing live sound on the side.
Eric now works as Rental Department Manager at Sherwood Systems Inc. where he specializes in tailoring rentals to customers’ needs and providing technical expertise and advice.
Ryan MacAdam - Sales

Grant Cummings - Staging & Lighting

Grant came to us in 1996 following a long and varied career
in the entertainment industry. He has a twenty-year history
of playing in the band "Glider", once the backing
group for Ian Thomas, and in "Bohemian Rhapsody",
a Queen tribute band - he truly understands live production.
Grant has a project studio in his home and has written and
produced numerous songs, ads and jingles both at home and
with other area studios. Prior to joining Sherwood Systems,
Grant worked in product development and installation for a
local audio/visual company - he has experience in video as
an installer, performer, producer and editor.
Grant's main responsibility at Sherwood Systems is as corporate
client liaison for our event production department while overseeing
our lighting and staging operations.
Chris Riding - Equipment Maintenance

Chris came on board in 1991, initially to oversee our recording
retail department. Born in England, Chris came to Canada by
way of Bermuda. His background includes a variety of related
entertainment industry positions from record store management
to touring musician to owner/operator of his project studio.
As a musician with a science background (he has a degree from
Queen's University at Kingston), Chris takes a strong hands-on
approach to equipment service and is a veritable walking encyclopaedia
of equipment and applications. Chris oversees our repair facility keeping our equipment working
and handles any warranty and repair issues for our customers.
Sean Cassidy - Production Equipment
Sean came to Sherwood in 1991 as a result of our involvement
with Cameron Heights Collegiate where he was in charge of
the school's audio equipment. He so impressed us that we offered
him a job. He has a strong practical background in things
electrical and electronic, and has earned a degree in electrical
engineering from our local Conestoga College. Sean's education
and practical experience make him a formidable technician.
He also works out on a regular basis - a definite advantage
when loading trucks!
Sean helps develop new systems, particularly wiring and patching,
while ensuring the continued reliability of our existing inventory.
Nancy Warzecha - Accounts/Reception
Nancy has been working with the company behind the scenes
for many years, initially as a committed volunteer (she is,
after all, married to the owner!), but more and more she is
taking an active role in directing customers with questions
to the staff member best qualified to help. She keeps things
moving smoothly, allowing the rest of the staff to function
efficiently in their respective specialties.
